So I am starting my innovation project and I have decided to
do an Interactive Queue Line. The purpose of the new queue line design is to
automate many of the tasks that current employees have to do and make the queue
line a part of the ride experience, not a separate experience.
I am thinking the queue line will be able to tell how many
guests are in the line so it can give an accurate wait time. The queue line
should be interactive in a way that guest can do things with the line. A bonus
would be the interactions of the guest can follow them onto the ride and the
ride become affected by the guests input. By using the newest technology
available, like the surface technology, this can be easily accomplished.
The other side of this is if a ride needs to be re-teamed
then all that needs to be done is new “in-game” elements for the queue line.
What this means is if the queue line has guest interacting with a surface wall while
they wait, it will be made similar to a video game. So with this, all that has
to be done can range from new character art to a new engine and redesign, which
both are cheaper than having to replace physical items in the queue line like
it is done today. I will post more on this project later on.
